And most importantly, the answers. Q Why should I take a craps class? A Like any professional athlete who’s success is dependent upon proper coaching and continual practice, the same goes for the serious craps player. The Craps Teacher can get you off on the right foot in your quest to be successful at the game of Craps.
Q Craps looks so complicated. Can I learn it in one class? A Like so many things, learning the game of craps is an ongoing experience. Becoming familiar with the basic elements of the game can be accomplished in minimal time. Learning the fine art of dice setting and perfecting the grip and throw will only come with hours of practice. The Craps Teacher offers classes for all skill levels in addition to one-on-one tune-up sessions.
Q Does dice setting really work? A Statistically, the seven should appear once every 6 rolls. If you can change that average to once in 6.2 rolls it brings the shooter to the break-even point on the 6 and 8 place bets. With a little practice you can do much better than that.
Q Is dice setting cheating? A Absolutely not. Precision shooting involves skills to influence the dice, not control them. Dice setting is a powerful technique that can turn craps into a positive expectation game.
Q How often do I need to practice? A The amount of time you practice is directly proportional to the amount of skill you wish to develop with the dice. The Mad Professor recommends 10 hours of practice for every hour of actual casino play.
Q Where can I do all this practicing? A. You can practice practically anywhere. Soon after becoming a dice setter, I entered my first craps tournament in Vegas. I was very nervous the night before, so I simply began tossing the dice on the carpet against the wall. Soon I found it better to remove a dresser drawer, line it with a towel, put it on the bed and toss the dice into it from about 8 feet away. The best way, however, is to either build or buy a practice table. Contact the Craps Teacher for more info on practice tables.
Q How do I get to the craps pit? A Upon signing up and paying for a class or private one-on-one session you will be emailed a packet that gives all the class details, including driving directions to the craps pit.
