Aw heck.  Why wait for an email .  Let's see how savvy you are about this game...

Which of these is the worst bet on the Craps table?

The field - Wrong.  The field is the best bet on this list with a house edge of 5.56%

Any 11 - Wrong.  The house edge of 11.11% is high but not the highest.

Any 7 - Right.  The house edge is a whopping 16.67%

Any craps - Wrong.  The house edge of 11.11% is high but not the highest.

Hard 4/10 - Wrong.  The house edge of 11.11% is high but not the highest.

Payoff odds on a $12 place bet on the 6 or 8 is:

5 to 6

6 to 5

7 to 6 - Correct.  The odds are always 7 to 6, regardless of how much is wagered.

8 to 6

The odds behind the line on a point of 5 or 9 are:

4 to 3

3 to 2 - Correct.  There are 6 ways to toss a 7 versus 4 ways to toss a 5 or 9.  This reduces down to 3 to 2.

3 to 4

2 to 3

You bet $5 in the field, a $5 place bet on the 5, and $6 place bets on the 6 and 8.  A 5 rolls.  How much do you win?:

$2 - Correct.  The field bet loses (-$5) and the place bet wins (+$7).

$7

$6

$5

The last 10 rolls have been non-field numbers.  Should you bet the field on the next roll?

Yes, because a field number is overdue. - Wrong.  The dice have no memory. Nothing is ever overdue.

No, because this is the trend. - Wrong.  The past spins are of no significance at all.

Doesn't matter. - Right.  The odds of any number showing are the same for every roll.

Statistically, how many times will the seven show out of 36 rolls?:

4

5

6 - Correct.  Out of the 36 number combinations on a pair of dice, the seven has 6 combinations so the 7 should roll 6 times out of 36 rolls.

7

9

11

A Don't bet and a Place bet on the same number will result in a wash (no win or loss):

True        False

The correct answer is FALSE.  If your Don't bet is $5 and you have a $6 place bet on the 6, and the 7, shows you will lose $1.  If the 6 hits before the 7, you will win $2 ($7 win - $5 loss=$2).  On the 5 or 9 it is a wash if the 7 shows first ($5 - $5 =0) and a $2 win if the 5 or 9 show first.  On the 4 and 10 it is also a wash if the 7 shows first, but a $4 win if the 4 or 10 show first.

You bet $12 on the Don't Pass and the point is 8.  When a 7 shows, you win:

$12 - Correct.  The Don't Pass is an even money wager.

  $14

  $10

  None of the above

What should I do after a losing bet, considering the goal is to maximize my return on future bets?

Bet more. - Wrong.  Chasing your losses won't help and could result in huge loses.

Bet less. - Wrong.  This is a conservative strategy resulting in limited, but more frequent, losses.

Doesn't matter. - Right.  There is no betting system that can add to or subtract from the house edge.

The definition of a HOP bet is:

Also called a "bunny" bet.  You place bet the 6 or 8 and when it hits, you say "Hop my 6 to the 8" (or if its the 8 that hits, "Hop my 8 to the 6").

A one roll bet where you bet a specific combination will show.  Such as: 5 and 1 "hopping".

Same thing as a Come bet since your bet "hops" from the come area to a number.

None of the above.

You bet $10 on the Don't Pass and the point is 4.  You lay $10 odds.  The shooter 7 outs.  How much do you win?

$20

$15 - Correct.  You win $10 for your Don't Pass bet and $5 for your $10 odds bet.

$25

$28

What is the House Edge on the Pass Line?

0.15%

1.42% - Correct

2.65%

5.25%

So, how did you do?

Thanks for taking the short Craps test.  I hate email spam just as much as you do so be assured that your email address will never be shared or sold.  Every so often I will be sending out a short email with random thoughts and observations that hopefully will help you in maximizing your profit at the craps table.  You can stop future emails at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.

Good luck and good profits at the tables.
